Pumpkins Everywhere!!

Just to show you what  you can do with pumpkins....decorate!

Halloween is over and we did not have one trick or treat youngster come to the door.   The town of Brookings has come up with some safe plans for the children and  downtown is open with special parties for the children including a haunted house.  The merchants have treats to  pass out , so for hours the children can go around and pick up treats.  I think it is a very good idea although we still buy treats in case they do come by the door.   I found my 'frozen' milky ways so I have treats for some time to come.  I miss seeing the little ones all dressed up.    Son John wrote saying they had over five hundred children as their town folks come up with some clever decorations  including one with a table of  heads that move.   They decorate their homes and  dress up so a great time is had by all.   I wonder who came up with the idea of passing out candy.  The dentists must smile thinking of the  yacht they can by next summer.   So today is All Saints Day, a day to calm down, say a prayer or two and enjoy the start of a brand new month.  Thanksgiving is around the corner, time to plan the menu and go shopping for the baking ingredients for cranberry bread  and the tasty pies.    Enjoy your seconds today as  your weekend is here which should mean rest and relaxation.    Put your feet up after you cook up some of that pumpkin .   Hugs to all.
