The Golden Gate Bridge had another birthday. The write up was interesting and the pictures great. I had not seen pictures of the before and after. An engineering feat to be proud of.
A new week and we got a big storm last evening. Mother Nature was kind and held back until the yard sales were over. We are planning another for later on in the summer ; a get rid of all sale; um. . . I've heard that statement made a time or two. We have some lovely pieces that need a home ,much to nice to dump. No more collecting I say, that is until I get to another yard sale and cannot resist a trinket or two. I only bought seven hard back books but at ten cents a piece I just couldn't leave them behind. A few Danielle Steele, and old Western Jake, and several I haven't read by unknown authors to me. So my summer reading is all set. Today is a house work day; have the kitchen to do as the crumbs are as bad as the weeds. Jock's springer salmon was more than delicious; just as light and tasty as anything I've ever eaten. Pat made a special couscous dish that was delectable and the fresh asparagus topped it off. It is so nice to be spoiled and have dinner brought over so I didn't have to put my shoes on. Try sharing a meal with someone you love and I guarantee a happy face for the rest of the day. Blue berry pancakes would taste good. Don't forget your good deed for the day; smile with your eyes and share a hug or two, it 'bodes well' and makes you feel 'ten feet tall'. Hugs to all. |
