Good Morning

HOPE!

A truism

Leave it to Maxine.

Here is a 'wow' picture, shows what talent and hard work can do.

Here it is Friday morning and I woke up thinking it was Saturday.   Just send me off for a week and I get lost in the shuffle.   No pictures as yet.   When you see the pictures, you will want to pack your bag and start a vacation trip all your own.

In my minds eye, I can close my eyes and think about the lovely two lane roads with sun and shadows making pictures on the road.  The calendar views as you round a curve and the ocean comes into view with trees bent from the winds.   Small towns for a gas stop and the price was $4.05 a gallon so you know is was a costly trip as it encompassed five hundred miles.   We enjoy the stretch time, a coffee break or buy a bottle of water.  Sometimes it is time for a food break so we looked for a 'good' restaurant and found one like Denny's, or stop for a soft ice cream at MacDonald's if there was nothing special around.  Our first stop was Lincoln City where we are very familiar with, and looked for a hotel for the night.  We went to the casino and priced out their room which was $130.00 if you had points, which is ludicrous as we had not played there so how would we rack up points to help bring down the cost of a room.    We drove off and went to our old favorite haunt and that was not much better as summer vacationers have to pay for vacationing and the hotels raise their rates for the summer crowds;  $120.00 is a  high price to pay, but you do get a free breakfast.... smile.  Daughter Pat had enough of two lane roads and made the decision to head for Highway Five to save time, well I'll tell you about that part of the trip tomorrow.

Enjoy your seconds today.    Take a minute out to write to our Senators and Congressmen and let  them know how you feel about the horrific human problem at our borders.  It is probably another scandal in the making by those with little or no conscience.    We are all going to pay a price for' Obamarism'.  Meanwhile, stay cool, calm and collected;  smile often, share YOU with those you love.  Hugs to all.
