I'M BACK . . . Starting with the road home

Five Hundred Miles to Go . . . Saw a train along the way

Here's the engine.    Should go back to more of the rails.  Truck traffic on the highways is really something to see and on a scale of one to ten a bit on the scary side as the weave in and out and vie for highway space to get where they are going on time.

We were riding into a shady area and I wanted to capture the shadows on the road.

a bigger shadow

Well I knew the name of the lake when I read the sign, but don't ask now as it left the memory banks.  It was huge and we followed in for miles along the Drain highway leaving Highway Five to go over to the coast.

Ah, the ocean;  we missed it and the coolness of Oregon.  We hit a surprise heat wave and it was hot, hot, hot.  Love the feathery sky.

I wanted to show you how the winds come off of the ocean and bend the trees.

Emma was so happy to see Patricia...Joey and Gunner joined in.

Jock thought it was about time he saw Patricia .

Gunner with his ball;  play with me!!!!  Joey telling Pat he is ready for a goodie and good old Emma wanted to go home and rest up and get lots of loving.

Jock has a green thumb.  Aren't these beautiful?

Another plant, a yard filled with trees, shrubs and a beautiful garden.  I came home with a big bag of blueberries freshly picked from his tree.

A few of the sea stacks .  We were going to fast to catch some of the larger areas .

Sand dunes and a lovely sky.

Another shot of the trees bending in the wind.    This is where the fire was last year and the blackened trees are still standing.
So we are home.  We are happy to be home and out of the car although we made many stops and enjoyed our time with Christine in Port Orchard.    My camera card was filled twice so there are loads more pictures coming when Christine has time to send them from her computer to mine.   When I get them I'll share.

Vacations are fun and we were wined and dined all week.   We had some fantastic meals in and out.  Christine is an excellent cook and made Patricia a Swedish pancake filled with apples and lemon while I feasted on blueberry pancakes.   We rode off to some interesting places which I will tell you about and show you when I get the pictures.

I missed my blogging family;  seemed strange not to sit at the computer and say good morning to each of you.    I hope you are all well and had a good week.

My bed is going to feel soooooo gooood!!!    I'll be back.   Hugs to all.
