An attachment came in yesterday with pictures and a story about Tippi Degre, the only daughter of Sylvie and Alain Degre, wild life photographers who lived in Africa where Tippi was born and brought up. They published a book called "Tippie of Africa". The animals were Tippi's playmates and she grew up in what she described as a magical place and was free in a natural environment. She is now twenty-three and a beautiful young lady. I cannot even imagine being that close to wild life; a mouse is scary to me and a garden snake sends me running.
The house is cold this morning. We had sunshine yesterday but it was cold out. I had 'maids' day in and got some necessary things done around here but it was nice to start a new read. I did work on the fused glass puzzle and it is coming along very slow but sure. It may take more time than I think, but at least it is slowly filling in. I'll take a picture and show you the monster when I do finish it.
How lucky we are that Jock has a garden and shares. He brought in some chard and spinach that cooks up to a delectable dish. I made a jean dish yesterday, put the spinach leaves in a baking dish, added a half cup of water, some strips of yellow and red peppers, some favorite seasonings and a big pork chop, covered it and baked it in a slow oven and it was delectable and delicious. I baked a potato along side and enjoyed my dinner along with a big spoon of Marcia's delicious lumpy apple sauce. I saved the juice and will do it again today with the chard. Speaking of food, I'm off to have my coffee and wake up. Go, wake up, smell the flowers and share YOU with those you love. Make a new friend today just because you can. That smile gets them every time. Hugs to all. |
