Another burst of energy from our earth within the ring of fire. It seems to be much more active this year as we hear of the earth awakening and shaking us up a little.
Sunday morning and Jock is home safe and sound with the pride of a hunter. He tells me he got his prize turkey and has some tales to tell. Hopefully it wont be long before we will have a chance to get together and hear all about his trip. Speaking of trips, I am off to the grocery store this morning and hopefully find some vegetables that are not rotted before they reach home. It is really is scary as our fruits and vegetables look good enough to purchase but do not last long enough to cook and eat. I had a bad onion and a bad pepper last week. I could walk them back to Freddys but it wouldn't solve the food problem. Something is going on and it isn't in our best interest. Nature in an uproar means a shorter food supply, no quality or quantity. We may have to go back to the Depression Day menu of long ago to survive. Gee, wouldn't you think I could find something bright and cheerful to talk about . . . but food is important to our well being and without it we just wouldn't last long. So it is wise to think, and thinking is not always bright and cheery thoughts but factual and being prepared is not all bad. Time to think of supporting our local farmer's markets. . . just wish they wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for one tomato.
We cannot solve all the problems in one swoop and cross bridges before we get to them, but, we can be aware and we can plan and plot to help ourselves and those we love in any way we can when the road gets rough and our seconds seem to be lost in a worry pool. We think, we act, we do what we have to do each day as it arrives. We keep the faith, we hope and we do what we have to do and much to our surprise we survive. So survive today with a bit of laughter and tears; a little good with the bad and be the one bright spot in some ones life today. Hugs to all. |
