Beauty and the Beast

Beauties, look like first cousin to the pansy.    

It is Friday....thought you might need a few reminders that politics is still going on and I didn't want you to miss out on anything.   Little vignettes   to remind you to think and to put your vote where it will do some good.

Rob Davis put this beautiful snow picture on Facebook.   Isn't it beautiful?   Calm, cool and collected, peaceful and a chance to appreciate all kinds of weather. You can hear silence.

TGIF . . . ah!!   A weekend coming up and weather permitting a few garden chores will get done.   It has been a week I would just as soon not repeat as someone sliced my screen door about twelve inches;  not sure who or why but it has left me feeling afraid that someone wants to break in.  It may be the youngsters in the back street who objected to our locking the gate so they do not have a short cut to the school bus.   They may also have put a wooden cross on my back lawn.   But also, we have street people over in the big field at Mills Beach and I find soda bottles, an empty tin of Copenhagen and Rocky found a plastic bag with  poop in it.    I should buy a gun, but then I'd have to find someone to shoot it.   It would be nice if the parents disciplined their children instead of teaching them  four letter words that they shout at them; and nicer if we could find a way to solve the street people problems in our world..    I sometimes long for the days when you could leave your doors and windows wide open and never have a thought to anyone wanting to take what you have worked hard for, or threaten in any way.    Life styles are changing, more every day, and I am not in favor of the changes.   So check your doors and windows.   Check your property so you can be safe.    Take good care of you as you head for a nice long weekend with a chance to hunker down and rest.    Put on some music and hum a merry tune;  invite someone you love to join you and make your seconds memorable.   Hugs to all.
