His name is John

John means peace
and serenity
so when I named this child
I gave him a title
to live up to
and he made it all worth while.

He stands tall and straight
will look  you in the eye
and be so compassionate
it has to make you smile.

He has grown up adventuresome
and travels all about
doing work he loves
and helping others out.

He never is to busy
to help in any way
and manages to let you know
you're special every day.

We have traveled near
and traveled far
and sometimes just hang out
No matter what it is we do
John's fun to be about.

He never makes me feel
I have to rush about
Says, 'take your time
enjoy
I'll be back and pick you up
