Orca

Flag Day is coming up this Saturday so if you are planning to invite a few folks in for a cookout, here is a desert you can offer.   Looks good, bet it taste great and it sure does a good 'pr' job.

Up in the bay at Newport, Oregon the Orca and baby swim around giving the folks a treat.  Angie took this picture and said she thought she should look out of her window more often.

Here is Angie with Queso.   What cuties.

Marge took this picture of Arch Rock and said since we last visited the area was all but blocked from the growth of the bushes on the pathway.    I used this scene on the cover of my book "Decades"  It is a magical spot so hopefully the forest care givers will be out there making it accessible again.

Here it is Thursday and our fog is in this morning so it is nice and cool.   Yesterday our wind was cold so it was telling us that our weather was going to cool down.    The sea shell puzzle is finished, no pieces missing and it really wasn't as bad as the super duper hard one that we had finished last month.   It was a fun one really even though the colors were much like the monster one.    Friend Marcia stopped by for coffee and a gab feast  and we talked ourselves into a trip to the casino.   They have a new machine that was fun to play as it has dragons that come down from an upper screen and run across the game screen and leave all kinds of flowers that add up to wild spots so you have a chance of adding to your play money.   I play four card keno and that is , as daughter Christine would say, 'is like watching paint dry';   it is boring until the numbers kick in and you win a five or six spot.   It does happen, but not as often as one would like.

Today a friend had the Angel prayer on her Facebook page, and it brought back a lot of childhood memories.  It was a delightful prayer we said every single day.  Remember it?  "Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here.  Ever this day be at my side to light to guard, to rule and guide. "  Amen.

Say that every morning and see how secure you will feel.   It can't hurt and it might do some good.   Be good, be kind, be gentle and be one who gets down on your knees and lift s your eyes up . . . there is no shame in asking for moon and the stars to keep shining and the sun to rise up and make the beauty of life shine as we struggle to survive in a topsy turvy world.  Do your part to make your little corner of the world 'shine'.   Hugs to all.
