Three AM

I would love to give son John this beauty for his birthday today.  A Mercedes-Benz Biome concept car.

Or, make him one of these chocolate baskets, but I think he would rather have some mince meat cookies or a mince meat pie.

This picture was taken by Josh Newton when Michael Walber and April Hartley exchanged vows.  Evacuation was ordered as the wild fire spread at, or near, the Rich Spring Ranch near Bend, Oregon.  The minister did a very brief ceremony and all took off for the reception at the Drake Park Hotel in town, but not before the photographer took this picture.  A once in a life time shot ;  a memory forever.

Liar, liar, pants on fire. . . we've said that  more than once in our life time.   Isn't it too bad that  it doesn't happen when our leaders are out telling tales.

Pat Brown is showing off her porch and her Bird of Paradise flowers, one of my favorites.   Pat is a talented and wonderful lady and President of the Brookings Garden Club.

Eunice, me, Marge.   We were out to lunch yesterday , a belated treat for me turning 90.   I tell you, all the time, sharing time with friends has got to be one of life's blessings.   We had a delicious Mexican dish and lots of conversation, catching up as it had been some time since we had a chance to meet .  Hopefully we will make it a habit.

And they are singing to me . . . that is a flan complete with candle.   I should have put out the lovely necklace Marge made just for me.   Cabochon glass in glorious colors on a gold chain.   It really is beautiful and I will be sure to wear it on my next outing.

So enjoy Hump Day and make sure you contact a friend or two and enjoy their company.   Be good, be kind, be gentle as you take time to make someone smile today.    The Mexican folks have a saying. . . via condio, meaning Go with God,  then you can't go wrong.   It is now after four a.m. so I think I'll go back to bed and catch a few more of those 'z's' , or as long as I am awake I could go make the coffee and turn on the news that surely will put me back to sleep.   TV at its best.   Meanwhile, when you wake up, celebrate the day and don't forget one good deed , lots of smiles and a bear hug or two.  Hugs to all.
