FUN

A truism

Remember that when you want to go out and have some fun.   Just remember your limitations...smile.

How true.   We learn as we go.

All that worry for nothing....giggle!!

One is never to old to have fun.    The grandkids are waiting in line for a turn  and it doesn't look they will get one anytime soon..

We have dense fog which we think has some of the smoke from the fires inland.    The wind must carry the smoke towards the ocean as it seemed harder to breathe.   The fog burned off later and the air was clear. It is sad to hear about so many fires and the damage done to homes.   It is that time of year when we have a lot more lightening storms inland .  We haven't had a good storm here on the coast for some time.   When we do get a good one, we know it.  I haven't heard the thunder roar or see the lightening strike in some time.  I better not be asking for it, I might just get my wish .

Daughter Pat and I went care package shopping for Erin yesterday and I learned a lot about finding the right kinds of things for the new box.   It is costly to find the small items that make Erin smile but well worth it as she is in a place where it is muggy, hot, buggy and not a lot of fun.   We found a few small meal type dinners so she doesn't have a lot of cooking to do;  heat and eat is the solution.  We found her favorite sour candies and some small items she requested.   She has lost weight so needed a bathing suit; if that is what a tiny pair of shorts is called these days.   I couldn't get over the size of them and I doubt my right arm would fit in them.   We have come a very long way in bathing suits; or should I say the manufacturers are not losing money on material these days.   Finding things to put in the box is easy;  paying the postage to Guyana is  something else again.  The Post Office will never go out of business.

So today, think about getting a care package sent off to someone you love.   Take time to find the favorite things that make a person know and feel the love you are sending.    It doesn't have to be a lot.  It just has to have that special touch that only you can send.   your one good deed of the day;  go for it.   Go shopping and have fun packing in all those little hugs.    Hugs to all.
