MORE PROMISED VACATION PICTURES - PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON 8/4/14

Christine is very proud of her little garden area, her patio and her new grape arbor.  She didn't take time to sit out there but I am betting she will find time to spend there.  It is a delightful new addition, and the grapes are growing faster than weeds.

this is the front of Christine's home and at the end of the cement wall there are stairs leading up to the porch.  I didn't count them but I can tell  you there are two tiers, one with a railing to hang on to , the other free.   It seemed like we made many trips up and down so I did get exercise.

Kitsap Harbor.

I wrote a blog about our stop here at Port Gamble.  A delightful small town with a large harbor.  There are a lot of harbor towns in Washington state and each one has something special to offer.  The garden led to a huge brown old house that had history but we didn't take time to go through it .  We had stopped for breakfast...

Delicious coffee and lots of refills.

Delicious foods and this was my plate after the lemon ricotta pancakes.

Christine finished her French toast . . um....yum.

the little bay and the parking area.

A small cemetery , well kept .

One of t he causeways we crossed over.    No lack of water in this area.

So between blogs and extra pictures , you have an idea of some of the areas we covered.    Washington State is a beautiful state, lots of tall green trees, lots of mountain sides, lots of water from lakes to bays and there is something in each of the towns to educate, amuse and feed your mind and your body as their restaurants were geared for good appetites.    Hope you enjoyed the pictures I pulled up.    Maybe it will be an incentive for you to plan a trip up there.   Don't hesitate as there are so many places, faces and things to do and you can stop by and give Christine a call, take her out to lunch and enjoy her small town...The Tea Room is really good, just order the sandwich or salad special which comes with a half sandwich , tea and special pie; or salad with tea and special pie.   I never miss a chance to have lunch there.
