Keeping Up

It has been another busy week in the world and the political cartoonist keep us apprised as to what is going on from their end of the world.

It has been a short week but a very busy one as Isis continues to threaten the United States and has big intentions of coming alive and well to destroy us as a people.  Their way or the highway   Americans are known for being softies, helping others, naïve, but . . . get their backs up and watch what they can and will do.

This Administration has let us down in so many ways and we have stood by and watched and waited for our elected officials to stand up and do something.   Have you notice the silence from Harry Read, Nancy Pelosi?    Have you notice no words or actions from John Benner.   These are the leaders who have been vocal and do nothing while the others follow and only a few stand up and let  us know how they feel about the current events that the President is shrinking and shirking away from.    Any other President would have long been impeached for the lack of leadership and the deceit of this one.   Hiding a Muslim heart in black skin is a good excuse to bring America down to its feet.  It is heartbreaking to live to be ninety and watch your world crumble  and know those you love are in jeopardy .  But, I am also a believer that when the times get tough the tough get going.  There is only so much one will take before standing up and be counted for.

Friday, another fast week gone, and a Labor Day weekend to celebrate.    I am helping Pat with her yard sale.  There are a few more boxes to be emptied and done away with.   I think I heard her say this is really the last one, but then I have heard those words before.   There is another big one on her street so opening the garage door and getting rid of some of the excess is a good idea.   We will have Erin and Jess helping and they are young and energetic, at least I hope so as they have been off camping in the heat and may come back with the idea of catching up with themselves.   I'll let you know.    So. . . . Go . . . enjoy your weekend and keep one ear out for what is going on in our world;  be a girl scout or a boy scout and pay attention.   One good deed . . . a happy face . . . a friendly hug and you should survive.    Hugs to all.
