Thoughts

How true.

A fabulous tribute to Nelson Mandela.

A truism.  It is hard to downsize.   All those trinkets have appeal and have been around for a long time.   Some are gifts, some are yard sale treasures and each brings dust kitties along, but I wouldn't want it any other way.  How about you?

On of the ironies that came in on an attachment.   We are all helping to fill the bus so the children will have plenty of school supplies.    About the beer?  Um . . . I don't think they would learn much so I'll pass on that one.    It is fun and funny to see signs that make you laugh out loud.   There are more coming.

It gets easier as the years go by.   You just roll with the punches.

Here it is the start of the last week of August, 2014.    Fall is in the air.    School will open soon and hopefully a good year for the children.   There has been an upset here in Brookings, hopefully they will bring some good news to the school district.  There is a , 'fill the bus' program on and the volunteers have been set up in front of the Fred Meyer store hoping for donations.  I have to give Fred Meyer Store Owners credit for putting on a huge sale of school items which certainly helps the school children have the tools they need.     So put a spare dollar in your pocket when you go out today and help your school districts.

Today is son Michael's birthday.   Happy Birthday to you....Happy birthday to you......Happy Birthday, I love you, Happy birthday to you.

Go, start your week with a song and a smile.   I'm off to make the coffee and find something good to eat.  What to have this morning???  Maybe I'll drop an egg, bet I could talk Erin into coming over for one of those.  One of her favorites.    She is more of a brunch gal and right now is busy catching up with herself.  The time and jet lag has set in.   Remember one good deed is all it takes to make someone smile.   Uplifting is a good word.   Hugs to all.
