A Bit of History

It was known as The Manhattan Project.   A small town in Tennessee was taken over and a new village was born.   The ladies were put to work , wonder if it was the beginning of taking the ladies out of the home and putting them to work.    Signs were put up about silence, no slip of the lip and work progressed into the very first atomic bomb.   A bomb that decimated two cities, and all within, which ended the war with Japan.

War is hell.   We find it doesn't solve the problem of political power and greed.   The young suffer and die, come home shattered and bent.   New people in new places develop more horrific weapons and are bent on starting another war.

Wouldn't you think that we should all have learned that a new bomb of destruction will put and end to this fragile globe we live in,

So a lesson in history brings about questions without answers.    If the old adage of 'history repeats itself' is a truism then we have reasons to bend the knees, light the candles and ask for new brains and some insight into a heaven on earth.

it is hump day today, sunshine and warmth, a visit from two sons who have shredded the honey do list to a nothing.    Mike did a fantastic job of making the legs on the round  marble top table much stronger.   John washed the front porch of mildew and ticked off a couple of other jobs.    it really is so 'nice to have a man around the house' and two make it much better.    They brought two huge round table pizzas with them so an added salad and dinner was ready.   Delicious!!!  Today is another work day, Mike is fixing Pat's dryer hose, or I should say, putting on a new one.   John is doing some electronic work today, checking out the new Charter digital and find out about a few 'lines' that stopped working.    I'm off to cook some Black Forest ham and eggs and open the other eye.     I wish you all a sunshine day and hope you catch up on a few chores around your home.     Bend the knee, reach for the sky and smile while you do it.    Make your day a beautiful one; just like YOU.   Hugs to all.
