May Day

I would love to hang a lovely little basket of flowers on your doorknob this morning.   It is May Day and a special Prayer Day so share YOU today. 

This thought has been around before but it still needs to be a special thought today as we think of those we love who have gone on before us ;  family members who were so special and so loved.   Friends and neighbors called long before their time but in God's time.     How they sparkle.  Look up and say a prayer today. 

The latest picture of granddaughter Erin.    She is keeping very busy and we have high hopes of another blog telling us a little more about her work there in Guyana. 

 

 

The beautiful Oregon Coast.    We are having sunshine and 'hot' around here finally.   I almost feel guilty enjoying the sunshine and warmth while others in the country are having such a hard time with crippling weather, tornadoes, and now heavy rains causing flooding.    Keep them in mind when you have a few extra dollars for the Red Cross folks who are doing their best to help.   My friend in Arkansas has tornadoes passing over but they have  not touched the ground.   It is Spring and tornado season, but how does one get used to storms like that.    Mother Nature is on the rampage.    So say a prayer today, in fact say several and donate what you can to those in need.    Be good, be kind, be a friend and make someone you love the recipient of your hugs and smiles.   Throw in a flower or two and watch their world light up.

May Day Surprise

The door bell rang/to my surprise/a lovely basket and flowers arrived.  There is no card, or name, this angel does not want fame.
My heart is blue/I begin to cry/the angel knew/the reasons why.
Such compassion/so willing to share/a booklet of the Good Lord's word.
Tea and cookies are the fare/lovely smells/a frame to use/a basket of delightful hues.
The words I read, peace of mind will certainly be mine, because this real live angel has taken time to show some love/some real compassion/and I am blessed more than I know/For this real live angel told me so/ just be caring/just be sharing.  Thank you angel, whoever you are.  I'll be HE has given you a star.
