And

A truism.   How much we all need kindness in our lives.

A bald eagle saved by a fisherman.  Sometimes they think they can pick up their dinner out of the water only to find the fish is bigger and heavier than they are and then they cannot take flight but fall into the water and need to be rescued.

It is cold and lonely on the breaking wave.
A Lady with an Ermine.  A lovely portrait by Leonardo De Vinci.   The story with the picture was interesting as some experts using some new technology found layers beneath the paint with no ermine, one layer with a gray and not a white ermine.  The supposition was that De Vinci painted the lady and as the politics changed the picture changed.  The lady was having an affair with one of the Dukes and he wasn't sure if it was ongoing or not.   I had never seen an ermine before, how about  you?    Whatever the true tale is, Leonardo really knew how to paint.   Isn't she lovely?

According to our weather forecasters we are due for a beautiful warm week.   October is here and along with it are mail boxes filled with catalogs . . . the start of the holiday season, and believe it or not the stores have Christmas decorations out already.

The catalogs are devoted to all kinds of Halloween 'things' for inside and outside of the house.   Just what we need to spend our little bit of money on.   The prices ridiculous.  Whatever happened to common sense?    What is wrong with a carved out pumpkin?   "THEY" want to spoil all our fun.   Then there are the pre Christmas gift ideas and the clothing ones make me laugh out loud as the prices start at fifty dollars and work up . . . what is that shirt or sweater made of ???  gold threads?   I think we should take our holidays back and celebrate our own way and not the way of "Wall Street";   use your heart and your head and do not get on the 'fast' track to spending more than you have and be inundated in debt.   Keep your holidays simple, filled with good wishes and a lot of love.   Share some homemade delights , a lot of love and laughter mixed with a hug or two.  Buy some mistletoe . . . Hugs to all.
