Beauty

A pumpkin patch up at Port Orchard.   I wonder if daughter Christine has a couple of these ready to carve for the upcoming Halloween holiday.

Angie spotted a moth on a leaf.   She commented on the beauty we really never look for.  I had no idea a moth was so beautiful.

A little five year old autistic child paints pictures like this.  Her parents thought to buy her some art supplies to challenge her mind, thinking she would draw stick people and the like but out of her autistic mind came beautiful works of art which sell for thousands of dollars.

The week has been flying by quickly now that Patricia made it home with Emma.   They had a long trip but a good one and she brought home some presents from Christine.  I am now the owner of some new sleep sweats and slippers;  early Christmas presents.  Patricia found some puzzle pieces and was happy I had not finished it.  It is slowly getting there.  Neighbor Mary came over to put a piece or two in and wondered why we choose such difficult ones to do.   Without the challenge it wouldn't be worth the time and effort, besides, it gives you a lot of satisfaction to finish a puzzle that is far from easy to complete.  Life is like that, we are thrown into a difficult mix and have to sort it out and once we do, ah, the feeling of pride in accomplishment.   It is the fight that counts as it gives us a feeling of patience and pride and we become a whole person.  To overcome all those little daily battles prepare us for the big and unexpected ones.   There is nothing we cannot do once we set our minds and heart to it.   So today, accept whatever challenge comes your way, follow it to completion then give yourself a pat on the back for being so smart, kind and gentle and take pride in being YOU.    Hugs to all.
